CHARLIE DYER Charlie Dyer, a native West Tennessean, is a newcomer to the outsider art community. After a long career in state politics and industrial development in Memphis and Nashville (including a short detour through Los Angeles and theology school), Charlie a graduate of Lambuth College, began searching for a different career path involving folk art. Reviving a childhood love of wood crafting and an interest in Southern culture, Charlie has developed a unique combination of Blues and Soul inspired collage and mural construction. After giving up his “day job”, Charlie now resides in West Tennessee and travels the Mississippi Delta for new inspirations. |
