Growing up, my father instilled in me a love of music, while my mother cultivated my passion for visual art. As a teenager, I started rescuing hardly playable record albums for artistic purposes. I decided to make those vinyl records my canvas, wanting to pay tribute to musicians and performers that had come to mean so much to me. Now as an adult, that desire has broadened into my goal of providing others with a way to remember and share musicians that moved them. I want people to have something they can display that will dramatically and uniquely showcase their favorite music.

When I paint an image of a musician on their own record album, I feel I am honoring their own creation of art. I am transforming something that might have ended up in the garbage into a piece of art that a music-lover will proudly hang on their wall. Currently I paint with only white, relying on the density of the paint to bring the portrait out of the shadows. My work is almost like a black and white newspaper photograph if the paper were black and the ink white. This technique creates an impression that captures the spirit of the musician.I maintain a portfolio of currently available pieces, representing a broad range of
musical tastes. I want, though, to trigger your memory of music that is important to you
and then to paint a unique work just for you.
